Illuminate

Middle School Group (6th-8th Grade)

"For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light."
Ephesians 5:8

The goal of Illuminate is to equip students with a love and a knowledge of the Gospel. While the goal of the children’s program here at Jville Church is to give students a solid foundation and basis for their beliefs in Christ, the goal of youth ministry is to help students take those foundations and apply them to their lives so that they can own their faith. Our staff and volunteers are committed to “fanning the flames'' of our middle schoolers so that they may feel truly compelled to open their hearts and let the Lord illuminate them from the inside out.

Meeting time: 5:00pm-7:00pm at the church campus every Sunday night. We hang out, eat dinner, play organized games, worship, learn about the Gospel, and grow together in discussion groups.

Ignite

High School Group (9th-12th Grade)

“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16

Similarly to Illuminate, the goal of the Ignite group and our entire K-12 program here at JPC is to equip students with a love and a knowledge of the Gospel in order to give the Holy Spirit room to ignite a fire that compels them to show Christ in their actions. So, while the goal of Illuminate is to help students fan the flames of their own faiths, the goal of Ignite is to help them burn so bright that they ignite a fire in those around them.

Meeting time: 7:00pm-9:00pm at the church campus every Wednesday night. We hang out, play organized games, worship, learn about the Gospel, and grow together in discussion groups.

Questions

Can we still attend Jville Church youth groups if our family goes to another church or does not attend church at all?

Yes! We welcome families of all faiths from all different walks of life.

Who are the volunteers working with my student?

All of our volunteers are believers in Jesus Christ and also members of the church. They have gone through an interview process, have had a background check, and also have a sincere passion for sharing the gospel with youth.

How do I get my student connected to the Youth Group at Jville Church?

There are a couple of options. The easiest way is to get in touch with the Youth Director, Nate, at Nathan.m@jvillepres.org. You can also call the church office at (541) 899-1287, or you can find a staff member during any of our Sunday worship services.

What are the events provided on a week-to-week basis?

For Middle Schoolers, we have Sunday night youth group (called Illuminate) from 5pm-7pm. Once a month, we do a ‘fun night’ called Light Night in place of normal MS youth group.

For High Schoolers, we have Wednesday night youth group (called Ignite) from 7pm-9pm. Once a month, we do a ‘fun night’ called Light Night. Further, twice a month on Thursday mornings we gather for Pancakes & Prayer at 7am in The Barn at church.
